You spend so much time carefully curating your vintage wardrobe, and you really deserve the perfect vintage reproduction shoe to complete your outfits! Here is a list of brands who make retro styles; I personally have owned shoes from all but a couple brands on this list.
B.A.I.T. Footwear
B.A.I.T. (But Another Innocent Tale) sells vegan, colorful styles and has great sales! I would suggest ordering a size up, because the vegan materials do not “break in” or stretch the way leather would. I’ve owned the classic Ida and Betty styles, as well as the Haiku boot. As someone who is no longer comfortable in heels, the Betty is so wearable. The thick heel is comfortable and the strap keeps my foot secure. The only caveat I have found is that closed toed styles made of the vegan leather do not breathe. Expect sweaty feet! The sandal styles or styles made with fabrics do not have this problem, like the Betty and Haiku boot. I love my Haiku boots so much, I had them resoled after about 5 years of wear.

Styles for those committed to historical accuracy. These shoes are highly researched and made with real leather and natural fiber fabrics. Expensive, yes, but these are the highest quality shoes you will find on this list besides….the next brand on this list. You can find styles from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s here. They wear beautifully and are such show-stoppers. I always get the most compliments on my Aspen boots. They kept my feet snug during our Big Bear trip over the New Year.
